What do we offer?
This is a vacancy where we offer you a full working holiday – package. Work as a veterinary surgeon at our top modern animal hospital three weeks and thereafter spend two weeks on a paid holiday in addition to that. You will get the full Nordic experience. We will assist you in finding an appropriate accommodation for your stay as well as recommend you the hidden gems around in the area.
About the job
At the hospital you will be working as an independent and experienced veterinary surgeon where we highly will value your area of expertise. You will work with a diversity of cases during your three weeks at the hospital. For example, C-sections, castrations, urine stone, bloat and fractures to mention a few. Furthermore, your area of expertise will determine what kind of cases you will be doing.
You will work for three weeks, Mondays to Fridays 08:00-17:00.
You are an experienced veterinary surgeon, preferably with a specialization in fracture surgery or orthopedics. You have several years of experience working with soft tissue surgery. If you are a board certified by ECVS or ACVS it is highly meritorious, however this is not a requirement. If you are Swedish speaking this is also valued as a desirable competence but again, it is not a requirement.
To be duly qualified to work as a veterinarian in Sweden you need to apply and receive a license from the board of agriculture and thereafter show it to us. If you already have a Swedish veterinary license it is meritorious, however if this is not the case, we still encourage you to apply. We have good cooperation with foreign specialists today and would like to see them expanded further. We will help you through the process of receiving a working permit and a Swedish veterinary license.
